YOUR DATA & YOUR CHOICES
Privacy policy
Updated 30 October 2026 · Fitness Curve, published by Strataic Ltd
Fitness Curve keeps runs and analysis on your iPhone. This version has no Fitness Curve account, advertising SDK or app analytics service. You decide whether to save to Apple Health or export to another service.
Who we are
Strataic Ltd, company 15864357, registered in England and Wales. Beehouse, 140 Eastern Avenue, Milton, Abingdon, OX14 4SB. Contact support@strataic.com with privacy questions.
What the app keeps
The app stores run times, location samples, heart rate, optional cadence, session plans, coaching logs, settings, saved routes and fitness-test results. Saved routes can include a name, map coordinates, distance and test-loop details. It stores notes, effort ratings, feelings, photos and niggles when you add them. Optional Health imports add running history and the daily context you enable.
Run files use iOS file protection and are excluded from automatic device backup. Use Backup & restore before deleting the app or replacing your phone. A password-protected .fcbackup file contains full runs, recorded routes, your saved route library, notes, photos and preferences. The password is not stored by Fitness Curve and cannot be recovered. You choose where the encrypted file is saved. Standard activity exports are unencrypted. Settings are stored in the app's preferences. Removing the app removes its local data.
Permissions
| Permission or service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Precise Location | Measures pace, distance and route during a run, including supported background recording. |
| Bluetooth | Connects a compatible heart-rate monitor for live readings. |
| Motion | Adds optional phone cadence. |
| Apple Health | Saves workouts and routes, reads running history, or reads selected daily context. These are optional choices. |
| Photo picker | Reads only the photo you choose. Saved copies are re-encoded without the source's location metadata. |
| Voice and Siri | Guidance uses installed on-device voices and does not need microphone access. Siri follows Apple's terms and your settings. |
Optional reminders
Fitness-test notifications are scheduled locally by iOS only after you enable them. The next date uses your chosen interval and last test. The notification contains a general check-in prompt, not your route or measurements. No notification server receives your data.
When information is shared
Apple Health receives data only with your permission. Exporting or using a share sheet sends the chosen files to the destination you select. Strava upload is a separate manual step that you confirm. Route sharing can hide positions around your start and finish; private exports contain the full route. Niggles stay out of share descriptions unless you opt in.
Apple maps, operating-system services and optional on-device Apple Intelligence session import are provided under Apple's terms. iOS may share diagnostics with developers according to your device analytics settings. There is no third-party advertising or tracking SDK in this app version.
This website & contact form
The Fitness Curve website is part of strataic.com and uses Strataic’s existing website services. This section covers website visitors and enquiries; the app itself does not send run or health data to these services.
The contact form collects your email address, chosen topic, message and optional name, along with the page it came from. Formspree receives the submission, checks for spam and delivers it to Strataic’s business email. It may process technical details such as IP address, browser, referrer and submission time for delivery and security. Please do not submit health measurements, medical details or full GPS routes through this form.
We use this information to answer enquiries, provide support and protect the service. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and keeping the service secure; pre-contractual or contractual steps may also apply where relevant. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell your information or use it for decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Website analytics
On strataic.com, we use Plausible for website statistics such as page visits, referring sites, device types and approximate locations. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers and does not store raw IP addresses. We do not send contact-form contents to analytics. The site does not load advertising or third-party fonts.
Service providers
- Formspree, Inc. processes contact forms and spam checks.
- Plausible Insights OÜ provides cookieless website analytics.
- Microsoft 365 provides Strataic’s business email.
- Inventive Hosting hosts strataic.com and may process routine request logs for operation and security.
Some providers, including Formspree, may process information outside the UK. For the safeguards used for international transfers, and other company-wide handling, see the Strataic privacy policy.
Retention
Under Strataic’s current arrangements, form submissions remain available in Formspree for up to 30 days. Enquiry emails and related correspondence are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Information may be kept longer when required by law or for a legal claim. Analytics statistics are retained according to Strataic’s Plausible plan and settings.
Your rights & privacy questions
For information held by Strataic, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it. We normally respond within one month, subject to applicable exceptions, and may need to verify your identity. Contact support@strataic.com or use the privacy enquiry form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Exporting and deleting
Use You → Privacy & data to export or delete local runs. The saved route library is separate: deleting a source run or deleting all runs leaves saved routes in place. Archiving a route hides it from the active library but retains it. Removing the app removes its local data. Deletion in Fitness Curve does not delete copies already saved to Health, uploaded to Strava or exported to Files. Manage those copies in their respective apps and services.
Changes
We will update this page when the app's data handling changes. The date above identifies this version.
